Anointed Voices of Higher Ground
The Anointed Voices of Higher Ground, also known as AV, is an anointed choir comprised of young adults who loves ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ through song. This radical group of young people known for their strong vocal abilities and passion for high praise and intense worship has been lead under the direction of Gregory J. Watkins since September of 2006.
AV faithfully serves in ministry at the Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies Inc under the pastorialship of Dr. Sherman S Watkins, Founder and Prelate of The Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies National Organization.
In 2011 one of gospel music’s largest and most renowned choir competitions "Verizon Wireless How Sweet the Sound", named AV first place winners of the regional competition held in Detroit, MI. This great accomplishment granted AV the opportunity to compete on the national level in Los Angeles, CA at the Staple Center on a stage before judges such as Donald Lawrence, Kurt Karr, Cece Winans, Yolanda Adams, Shirley Ceaser, Israel Houghton, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond as well as an audience of over 25,000 viewers.
Gregory J. Watkins and the Anointed Voices are preparing to embark upon new grounds of their first Live CD Recording. It is their desire to spread the message of Jesus Christ throughout the world for this generation and generations to come. God has been faithful and has shown unmerited favor in which they are grateful and honored. It is the desire of the leader and choir that God would continue to build them in love and in unity to draw and build disciples for the Kingdom of God.
