April Joy
April Joy Mtyora is one of the country’s most anointed and sought-after psalmists and worship leaders and has led the people of God in worship across the country and abroad. April Joy accepted her call to ministry early in her teenage years and has devoted her life to mentoring youth, particularly young women. She has a BA in Practical Ministry from Eastern Nazarene College.
April Joy is also a national recording artist with her family group, Ashmont Hill, with 3 CDs to their credit.
On November 8, 2019, April Joy completed her first solo Live Recording. The singles, Lifeline, & Receive my Praise Yahweh were released in January 2020 and November 2021 respectively. Currently, April Joy serves as worship pastor at The Worship Center Christian Church in Birmingham, Alabama. April Joy is married to her loving husband Zivai, they have three beautiful children: Zivai Jr., David, and Ava Love. She enjoys movies, reading, watching sports, playing games, and most of all, spending quality time with her family and friends.
