Eastmoor Academy

Eastmoor Academy, under the direction of Seth Harms who has led the plays and musicals with Columbus City Schools and Eastmoor Academy for 20 years. Eastmoor Academy Drama has not only served the acting, singing and dance training for many Columbus students, but has served the artistic needs and wishes of the Greater Columbus area. Every four years EA Drama produces The Wiz, as a way of bringing the community and EA Drama alumni together for a fantastic family event. Each production is different and has helped get new students into the ARTS Programs at EAHS. EA Drama has also produced: Dreamgirls, Once On This Island, Fences, The Colored Museum, It Ain’t Nothin But The Blues, Kingdom Come, Facing Our Truth: 6 stories about Travon Martin and Race, and most notable performance of the Colored Purple amongst many others. Past productions have been featured in serval Columbus Dispatch and Eastside Messenger articles and had four live performances on NBC4. Seth firmly believes when you come to see any of the productions you are there to be EDUCATED, PROVOKED, and ENTERTAINED. Love, Prayer, and Discipline and hard focused work always makes each of the EA Drama Productions as close to Broadway as you can get.
