Eddie Sands
Eddie B Sands Jr. is an inspiring gospel artist. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio he now calls Columbus his home. He was first introduced to the world of music in church. Growing up with strong family values and church, he is a personal testimony to the unending journey of life and the power of God.
It was at an early age that Eddie first began to sing and develop a love for music and performance. At the age of twelve he performed in the James Cleveland youth choir. He was trained under Michael Malone, founder of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C., where he honed his skills as a professional singer. Eddie has opened up for such singers as, Richard Smallwood and Jeff Majors Gerald Levert. He has performed on numerous stages around the country including the historic Karamu House Theatre, where he was part of the dynamic cast who launched Otis Sallid’s Gospel! Gospel! Gospel! to a sold out house. He has also tour the great country of Switzerland carrying the good news of Jesus Christ. The great Nick Ashford from the group Ashford & Simpson spent his last three days on this earth listening to Eddie’s newly released C.D. I MUST Tell Jesus. And because of God’s grace he has just completed filming in the movie Black Nativity, with Angela Basset Forest Whitaker and Jennifer Hudson.
Eddie B Sands Jr. describes his music and voice as “real and honest”, he exposes his soul to his listeners. He is motivated by a desire to share gospel that conveys a message of hope and deliverance. Eddie’s desire is to share the gifts that God has given him to promote the confidence and self esteem of inner city youth by developing their gifts through music, song and the arts.
