
Patrice Turner
Patrice E. Turner received the Doctor of Education degree in Music and Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University (May 2009). She received the Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, Bachelor of Music Education degree in Choral and General Music, and the Master of Arts degree in Music Education all from The Ohio State University. She has published several articles. Patrice’s music career began at age three playing the piano, where she has accomplished classical, jazz, and gospel traditions as a pianist and a soprano vocalist. For 11 years, she has worked as a teacher of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s (JALC) WeBop! Program, during this tenure, a CD featuring Patrice was released. Patrice has several other CDs to her credit, which span classical and religious musical styles. Patrice has traveled internationally, served with prestigious organizations and held several titles, and been featured in renown venues throughout the country.
