It all began for TaMyya in her childhood hometown Willngsboro, NJ. TaMyya’s introduction to the professional music industry solidified her career choice and inspired a dream during her 1st place prize in the McDonald’s Gospelfest Youth Division with four other young ladies. Since that time, her career catapulted, and her album Suddenly earned a nomination for “Pop Video of the Year”. Her song The Reason was selected for inclusion in the compilation CD “Gospel Skate Jams, Vol. 2”. TaMyya was selected by Fashion Fair Cosmetics to kick off their spring cosmetic campaign appearing at major department stores around the country. TaMyya performed in the stage play “Who Do You Love” and then later traveled as the soprano background vocalist for gospel artists Mary Mary. Releasing her single God’s Got My Back received rave reviews and was the number one song added to radio just four weeks after release and continually moved up charts and reached #18 Billboards #28 Mediabase Charts.
